Featured Client Video: NC Perkins Supports Women in Tech at FTCC

FTCC Women in Tech VideoIn this video, the Dean of Engineering and Applied Technology explains how Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) developed and implemented WomenTech Recruitment Plans in 4 Career Pathways, which resulted in increases of both female and male students in only one semester. IT Security nearly doubled the number of female students from 12 to 22 and male enrollment increased from 58 to 101. Carpentry went from 1 to 6 female students -- and had to add another section.

“The WomenTech Educators Training helped us think outside the box for recruitment and retention of female students. The greatest benefit was seeing almost immediate results. In the first fall semester following the training, we saw overall growth in all four targeted programs.”

~ Pamela Gibson, Dean of Engineering and Applied Technology, FTCC, NC
