We are not a membership organization. Our expertise is assisting institutions, not individuals, to recruit and retain women in technology and law enforcement fields.
I'm a woman seeking a career in technology -- can you help me?
IWITTS does not provide direct services to women. Our work focuses on the schools and institutions that help women pursue careers in technology and the trades. However, there are many local and national organizations and associations out there dedicated to connecting women in STEM and CTE fields. We recommend doing a search for the word “women” and the career pathway you are interested in (for example, engineering).
How can IWITTS help me recruit women and girls to my technology and trades programs?
IWITTS offers products and services that help STEM and CTE educators increase the number of women and girls enrolled in their classes and retain those students. We accomplish this through:
- Professional developmentand Coaching Support for Implementation as part of the WomenTech Educators Training System, both online and on-site at your location
- Tools, such as banners of women in trades and technology, outreach kits and more
- Multi-site national demonstration and research projects, such as our recent National Online WomenTech Project funded by the National Science Foundation
- National and state policy work

Where can I find statistics about women in technology?
A good source for information about women in technology is the US Department of Labor, Women's Bureau, Statistics section.
Where can I find women in technology careers willing to speak to my students or colleagues?
IWITTS Executive Director Donna Milgram goes into detail on how to find female role models in WomenTech Educators Trainings. The WomenTech Classroom eBook: A Treasure Trove of Hard-to-Find Women in STEM Resources for Educators also includes resources for finding female role models in STEM and CTE.
How can IWITTS help me recruit and retain women in policing?
Our Law Enforcement section includes numerous resources that offer information regarding best practice recruitment and retention strategies. You'll find articles, guides, and other materials developed by experts in the field, such as IWITTS Executive Director Donna Milgram.
Does IWITTS hold workshops for law enforcement on recruiting and retaining women?
IWITTS does not currently hold national police trainings. However, if your department is interested, IWITTS can conduct a workshop in your city or state. Please Contact Us if you are interested in learning more about our professional development.
What is the cancellation policy for WomenTech Educators Training held exclusively for my school?
- 30 days or more before the workshop: Cancellations received in writing no later than thirty (30) days prior to the start of the workshop will receive a full refund of conference fees.
- 14 to 29 days: Cancellations received in writing no later than 14 to 29 days prior to the start of the workshop will receive a refund of 50% of the workshop fee, and materials for the workshop will be shipped to the company. A 50% cancellation fee will be deducted from all refunds issued less than 30 days but more than thirteen days prior to the start of the workshop.
- 13 days or less: No refund is issued if cancellations are received thirteen days or less prior to the start of the workshop. Materials for the workshop will be shipped to the company.

What if IWITTS cancels the training for my school?
If for any reason, we have to cancel a training, we are not responsible for covering airfare, hotel, or other costs incurred by registrants. Please check with us to ensure the training still has space available or has not been cancelled before making non-refundable travel arrangements.
If I cannot attend a training at my school, can a colleague take my place?
Should you be unable to attend the training, substitutions may be made up to the day of the workshop. Please Contact Us to alert us to the substitution.
What are the payment terms for a WomenTech Educators Online Bootcamp?
Team registration is confirmed on receipt of payment by check or credit card. We do not accept Purchase Orders for a training. Please note, we cannot reserve a space for your school team without payment.
What is the cancellation policy for a WomenTech Educators Online Bootcamp?
No Refunds, Substitutions Only: Team substitutions are allowed up to 14 days in advance of online training, but no refunds will be issued once the registration fee is received and we’ve reserved the space for your team. Under emergency circumstances and upon IWITTS's written approval, registration can be transferred to a future WomenTech Educators Online Training within a year’s time. Any requests for substitutions and transfers must be submitted in writing.
What is the disclaimer for all WomenTech Educator Trainings?
Disclaimer: IWITTS shall not be liable for damages of any kind resulting from errors or omissions in the training materials nor shall IWITTS be liable for any damages resulting from the use of the training materials or other information conveyed during a WomenTech Educators Training or Coaching Call.

Can I use a Purchase Order?
We accept Purchase Orders for products, but not trainings. On each product page you will see an option for a "Print Order Form". You can type the information directly into the form or you can print it out and complete it. Please send the completed order form to the email address listed in the form or fax it with your purchase order to 510-749-0500.

Are there bulk discounts?
If you would like to order large quantities of any given product, please Contact Us. We'd be happy to discuss how we can provide you with a bulk discount.
I reside outside the United States -- may I order IWITTS products?
Currently, our products are guaranteed available only to United States customers. We will do our best to make our products available to customers in other countries, but we can't ensure it.
Customers outside the US interested in making a purchase, please Contact Us. Be sure to include:

- A proposed method of payment
We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible and let you know if we are able to process your order. Please note that you will be responsible for import tax and UPS brokerage fees on your UPS Standard Service shipments.

- California residents if you're ordering online, our system will automatically calculate a 9.75% sales tax for you. If you're mailing or faxing in your order and your order will be shipped to a California address, please add your appropriate local sales tax.
- There is no shipping charge or sales tax for downloadable items.
How long will it take to receive my order?
All of our orders are fulfilled and shipped within 5 days of payment. Most products are shipped UPS ground, which takes up to five business days depending on your location. Thus, you can expect to receive your publications within two weeks.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
We do not offer expedited shipping at this time.
My order hasn't arrived yet -- what should I do?
We have found that most missing shipments are due to a shipping department signing for an order but not transferring the package to the intended recipient. So before contacting us, we suggest you check with your shipping and receiving department.
Of course, if that is not the case, we'll be happy to help. Just Contact Us with the following information:

What is your return policy?
No returns. We cannot accept returns at this time. If a product is damaged during shipping, please Contact Us to let us know and we will replace it.

How do I download products after purchase?
As soon as your order is received -- whether you purchased the product online or using the print form -- you will receive an email with a link to download your product.
I did not receive the e-mail with the Download Link -- what should I do?
Download instructions are sent to the email address that was provided during purchase. If someone other than yourself completed the order (i.e., someone in your purchasing department) and provided their own email address, not yours, please ask that person to forward you the Download Instructions email.
If it was your email that was included on the order form and you did not receive an email with download instructions, please Contact Us.
