Female Role Models are Key to Success

In testing the Women in Technology Outreach Kit, IWITTS validated the research that shows using female role models in marketing materials are the key to success because they inspire other women to consider male-dominated fields.

That's why we developed this easy-to-use kit with samples of a real school's brochures, flyers, a PowerPoint presentation and templates for each of these components that you can customize to your school's specific programs.

Plus, its questionnaires and information pages will guide you in finding female role models as well as helping you to collect the information that's most important to prospective female students.

Online Strategy Guide

We've also included an updated Online Strategy Guide, which provides suggestions on recruitment information to feature on your department or program's website. These recommendations are based on lessons learned and best practices with the eight community colleges in the CalWomenTech Project.

Proven Results

IWITTS found that the schools that implemented recruitment strategies, including the materials in this kit, resulted in an increase in female enrollment of 10-15%! Read about the CalWomenTech Project's preliminary success story.
