I was linked to your group through Sandy Feder @ code.org. I would love to link up and see how we can support one another both through the Yes4Girls non-profit and in my classroom/school. Sandy mentioned you had posters to share as well as would possibly come and speak to interested groups. I can be reached @ dawsond@lancsd.org. Thank you!

This seems an insightful view.
At the moment I am designing a computing course at a graduate level and I want to better include women’s preferences and skills.

Could you please add some references of studies that support your views? For example, I’m interested in

“Instead of focusing on the “What” and “How” of STEM, female learners tend to be engaged more in these subjects if the discussion includes “Who”, “When” and “Why”. ”

Thank you very much in advance!

STEAM is more inclusive and makes STEM a hot idea! There are a lot of wannabee female engineers in the ARTS where Chemistry,Material science and physics are called – Ceramics, printmaking, photography sculpture even sewing.

After attending the Boston training I have searched for games that use the bridging skills. It is diffcult to explain to my son why a T-Rex robot and monster legos are appropiate for his daughter.
